What is this tool used for

The freewheel removal tool is required to take off the freewheel on the rear bike wheel.

Advice from our team:

Using a vice, secure the wheel removal tool, place the wheel on top and turn it:this is the simplest and most effective method. Without a vice, work in an upright position as you would with a chain whip.Insert the tool, use a 24 mm (or 1/2") wrench and turn counter-clockwise.Apply pressure with your body weight, keeping your hand at the end of the handle, to maximise leverage and facilitate removal.

Remove and refit your freewheel using this freewheel remover with a 1"1/2 socket or a 21 mm flat spanner.
