What makes the Wizzy the ideal ball for children learning to play basketball?

Basketball is sport that requires dexterity and agility. To make it easier for your child to learn to play basketball, we created a ball that is 18% lighter than other balls of the same size. This makes it easier for them to dribble, score and pass successfully.

At what pressure should you inflate your ball?

Inflating the ball correctly is essential if you want to have fun and practise efficiently. The optimum pressure is indicated next to the valve. If you don't have a pressure gauge, drop the ball from shoulder height and it should bounce back to waist level.

What ball size to choose?

It's important to choose the right size ball for your age and gender. Size 1: For kids ages 2 and up Sizes 3 and 4: For boys and girls ages 4 to 6 (category U7) Size 5 light: For boys and girls ages 5 to 8 (categories U7 and U9) Size 5: For boys and girls ages 7 to 10 (categories U9 and U11) Size 6: For boys ages 11 and 12 (category U13) or women ages 11 and up Size 7: for men ages 13 and up.

What ball should you use?

If you want a very durable ball, go for a rubber ball. If you're looking for a ball with a good ball feel, choose a leather or synthetic ball.

For a good bounce, how much should you inflate your basketball?

A basketball that is overinflated or underinflated will deliver a sub-par playing experience. The recommended pressure is clearly marked on the ball by the manufacturer. Ideally, you should use a pump with a pressure gauge for a more precise inflation. At Tarmak, we recommend a pressure of 0.62 bar. Enjoy your game!

What height basket should you choose?

The official height of a basketball basket is 3.05m (rim height). If you want a basketball basket for your child, you need something that will grow with them. For younger kids there isn't an official height so you can choose whatever suits them best. Up to the age of 10, club baskets are set at 2.60m. After the age of 10, both girls and boys play with 3.05m baskets.
